Elemental Awareness 2016 Scholarships

Matthew received the rewards for showing respect in and out of the classroom
Matthew received the rewards for showing respect in and out of the classroom.

We are extremely grateful in regards to the opportunities we have to help others. The Eduskate Foundation finds great satisfaction in helping out the youth in the Hollywood Community. For many years we have worked to reach our local skaters and provide opportunities to make their dreams a reality in exchange for respect and pushing in and out of the classroom. Good character and respect led to our decision to make Matthew our lucky skater to travel to the Element Skate Camp in July of 2016.

Matthew is a middle school student who has only been skating for about 8 months.  He immediately made an impact with his determination and dedication to skating and education. He is not only a great skater but a great student s who excels in any subject matter.  He is smart and witty, although he may seem shy at times. This is how most people feel when beginning something new.

Matthew is fortunate to receive the support from his mom and his extended family, which we had the pleasure of meeting when they dropped him off at the Watts Skate Park. A family full of love and admiration towards Matthew that was evident in their eyes, body language, and their waves as they sent their boy off to the Element Skate Camp for a journey that one never forgets.

We LOVE to hear from skateboarders, at whatever skill level, from all over the world. Yes, we really read these, and respond!
